The guys over at 5280 SCUBA did a great job of going over the key features of the atomic split fins. In the video, you can get a closer look at the fins and what makes them so unique.

Atomic Split Fins Review: Key Features And Benefits

Split Fins Design

One of the best features of the Atomic Aquatic Split Fins is that they have split fins, as is of course described by the name of the product. Split fins are great for helping to increase both thrust and lift, especially in fast-moving waters. These fins are great for helping you travel long distances while minimizing drag and fatigue.

Available Spring Straps

Another great feature is the addition of spring straps to the Atomic Aquatic Split Fins. They can be adjusted to fit your feet perfectly so that they are secure and don’t slip off. They provide a great fit. There is also the fact that these fins can be easily tightened and loosened. It only takes the click of a button to take them off.

Comfortable Foot-Pocket

The foot pocket of the Atomic Aquatic Split Fins is anatomically designed to fit pretty much every foot and every boot. At the same time, the ergonomic design of the foot pocket helps to ensure a comfortable diving experience every time.

Sturdy Side Rails

The fins of the Atomic Aquatic Split Fins come with side rails to ensure increased rigidity. This means that they are great for providing thrust and for quick maneuvering. They help with steering too.

Composite Materials

The Atomic Aquatic Split Fins are made of high-grade composite materials that are extremely durable. Not only are these materials extremely durable, they also have maximum flex and memory. In other words, they are quite stiff, which is great for propulsion, and they always snap right back into place to keep you going.

Sherwood Triton Review: Our Rating

Design: 10

We really could not be any happier with the Atomic Aquatic Split Fins. They are made to be comfortable, they reduce drag and fatigue, and they allow for really fast swimming.

Functionality: 10

When it comes to functionality, these fins are truly top notch. They allow you to swim fast with minimal effort, and they are comfortable as well.

Durability: 9

These fins are fairly durable. They have a couple of minor drawbacks where the straps connect to the fins, but other than that, they are great.

Price: 8

The Atomic Aquatic Split Fins are quite expensive, which is probably their biggest drawback.

What We Like

We like how the Atomic Aquatic Split Fins are built for power and speed. Their special design allows for maximum power and lifts with minimal effort. This is also aided by the ridges on the fins which help to add some structure to the equation.

We like how these fins come with an adjustable spring strap binding system. This makes them very stable, secure, and easy to put on and take off.

The special design of these fins allows you to move with speed and efficiency without tiring yourself out. These fins keep your leg muscles from quickly getting tired, and they can help reduce air consumption too.

We like that the Atomic Aquatic Split Fins have a high level of comfort thanks to the ergonomically and anatomically designed foot pocket.

The fact that the Atomic Aquatic Split Fins have a lot of flex and memory is also a beneficial aspect.

What We Don’t Like

One of the things which we don’t like about the Atomic Aquatic Split Fins is their price tag. While they might be some of the very best fins out there, they are very expensive.

Also, they may require more finning when going up against stronger currents.

Who Should Buy The Atomic Split Fins?

This is a great product for many people. The Atomic Aquatic Split Fins are fairly expensive, so the main target audience here is the professional scuba diver, but of course, they work great for amateurs too. They could even be used for snorkeling if you don’t mind the price.

They are designed for comfort and maximum functionality, so they might be a little too much for a day at the beach. However, for swimming in demanding waters, they get the job done.
